And on the 7th day...

Bikher was a bit of a bum ... but with good reason.

Yesterday morning I headed over to Mom's house since there is so much to be done there in getting the house ready to show. We filled up Mom's van and I made a trip to Goodwill. We filled up my Endeavor with stuff that will live at my house until the house is ready. We filled up several garbage bags. Like most projects of this scope, things look worse before they get better, but headway is being made for sure.

Mom has done a very good job of getting of rid stuff including ALL of the ferrets, ALL of the rats and ALL but three dogs. We also disposed of at least 6 boxes of various magazines from the last decade. She is also weeding out her houseplants (pun intended).

My knee that started off the day yesterday bright purple seemed to be a different shade of bruise every time we noticed it. Today finds it in the dark purple-brown hue range with some pink spots. It is very attractive!

Since Saturday turned out to be a real working day, I mostly puttered about the house today. Got some laundry done and cooked up some Angus burgers for lunch and dinner. YUM!

The garage overhead door as well as the garage back door now have a spiffy new window film covering. Sadly I ended up doing the window film twice because only the second roll I had gotten cheap at Lowes had the instructions. Seems this is the sort of film that you apply wet! Once I found out online what I could substitute for the "official application spray" (weak soapy water) I carefully peeled back off the film and re-applied it with the wet method. While it was a PITA to say the least, the windows look better after the wet application. As part of this process I also started removing the window film that I had installed on the garage window so that i could make it all match. I re-used the film on the light-switch and outlet cover plates in the large spare bedroom so that it would not go to waste.

No news on the mortgage front, seems no one works over the weekend. Hopefully i will learn something tomorrow.
