Paid a visit to the VA Employment Commission today to check out unemployment. No one would read the severance paperwork that I had from AKA. One lady did mention that it all seemed standard, but would comment no further. She told me that the counselor would review it with me but that turned out to be a lie.
After meeting with the counselor, I was not impressed. Our meeting started with him chuckling & commenting that he liked the ladybug patch on my butt. How professional! ::: eye roll :::
VEC gives me the impression that because they do what they do over & over, they don't take the time to explain things very clearly. They know the drill, it's just a shame they don't communicate it effectively.
It will be a few weeks before I see anything from them. I hope it helps.
