What a WONDERFUL weekend! Perfect weather has been blessing Virginia pretty much all week & Mother Nature outdid herself for the weekend.
Saturday found me with a day to myself... the ex was up before 0'dark-thirty to enjoy the first day of whitetail bowhunting season. Since this naughty girl has not shot her bow in forever she is woefully not ready to take her Parker compound into the woods.
With the ex in the woods, I had the house to myself for a good part of the day. I goofed off a little in EverQuest, but did not dally long there as I wanted to kick some housecleaning butt. 4 loads of laundry & a vacuumed & mopped house later, I was off to a good start.
The ex shot a doe with his custom recurve bow that he got last year! When he told me over the phone, I just knew he was grinning from ear to ear! The doe is a nice start on re-stocking our freeze with venison. I can't wait until muzzleloader season starts.
*Something* told me to log in & check email mid-day on Saturday ~ something I rarely do on weekends. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that some friends had all decided to come to the MD Ren Faire on Sunday. Pleasantly surprised? OK, I was really doing the happy dance around house.
Guess what we did on Sunday... went to the MD Ren Faire! Perfect weather, good friends & one of the bestest Ren Faires around as a back drop. It was awesome! We had our 2 little nephews with us so I did not quite get to do the window shopping I normally do nor keep up with all the *adult* antics, but it was such awesome fun. For those of you who came ~ please know that you made my day. Thank you!
Going to the Ren Faire also means I get to see my Tigery sister & her BF. Yes, Tigery One, I have the lil purple pods for mom. Thank you again for my bodice rose. Even though a certain ex was too shy (or something) to smell it *properly* someone else in our party was glad to oblige me.
I am hoping to sneak up again to Faire one more time before it is over...

You should read the hyuge update in my journal for the final tally of everything that went wrong with our weekend.
It was GREAT to see you. I do hope you get to sneak up again. Hey - if you do so on Final Sunday - I have the day off !
