Holy moly kids ... it's 70 degrees on January 6th. This is my kind of winter!
Went hunting last night at Chopper's house. Chopper's real name is Chris, but since I met him as Chopper, he is always Chopper to me. The weather was nice & the rain stayed away ... but so did the deer. Chopper & his 7 year old daughter saw a small doe, but that was it. Not even any squirrels to mock me this time.
This afternoon I am heading out back to hunt the last day of regular hunting season. I'm not terribly optimistic about getting a deer today, as everyone & his brother is out running dogs today, but at least its nice weather to sit outside for a few hours!
