*cough*
Oh no! I woke up with a sore throat this morning. Maybe Mom jinxed me yesterday when she said that I might be coming down with something. Brian came to the rescue & made pancakes for breakfast. He makes much better pancakes than I do anyhow.
After a yummy breakfast with our friends, we hung out for a bit chatting & making plans for the day. Seems that there is nothing worth watching in the theater so we will skip our movie ritual this visit. We decide to check out the house next door but before we have a chance to do so, Cooper ran off with Tucker.
We were playing with the dogs in the yard. Well, everyone else was, I was in a chair half asleep. Kathleen & Brian were throwing sticks & tennis balls for the dogs & everyone was having fun. Cooper got close to the woods & enticed Tucker to follow him & off they went. Damn Beagle!
Brian offered to stay home & wait for the dogs, but I sent him along with our guests so I could crawl back into bed. That's the last thing I remember until Brian woke me hours later. Seems I had been out cold for half the day.
After gathering up a supply of cough drops, we headed out to the big RV place in Manassas. If you have never gone RV window shopping - try it sometime. Some of the RVs are nicer & bigger than some apartments I have lived in over the years. Brian & I would love to get one in the future. (We just need that winning lottery ticket!)
After the RV place, we took Art & Kathleen out to dinner for their upcoming anniversary. We left the restaurant stuffed & since I was sick & Brian gets a serious case of the sleepies after eating, Kathleen took charge & was going to drive home.
That is until the Endeavor wouldn't start. With no warning at all, my SUV was as dead as a door knob. A nice guy in a BMW jumped us & we headed off with me at the controls ... only to stall out at the second light we came to. After pushing the Endeavor across the highway, Brian & Kathleen set off on foot to procure a new battery.
After an hour or so & $100 later, we were ready to drive home. Seems all the Mitsu wanted was a shiny new battery to be happy. By the time we got home, everyone just went straight to bed.
