A Tuesday in May

Graciously my new boss suggested that I not bother trying to come in today after my dentist appointment. She was very wise to make this suggestion since my dentist was running late AND he had assumed that hygienist was going to do thing her before he worked on my fillings. Wrong!

Fortunately the assistant went to bat for me since I had mentioned that I had to take the day off from work. The dentist went to work and while filling two of my cavities found another one that had not shown up well on the x-ray. The worst part of appointment seemed to be from jaw pain and not the drilling. Well, that and feeling like a mule kicked my jaw once the Novocaine wore off.

After eating Chinese with Mom and Wilma, I headed to JC Penney to pick out a watch. I have gone without one for several years now and I miss wearing a watch. At my new job I spend a lot of time in meetings where there is no clock. My plan was to buy an inexpensive timepiece now and get the one kind I would prefer at some later point.

Lo and behold all the cheap watches sucked; the clearance watches were all for men and the good watches were 25% off. Not only were the good watches 25% off, but these also included Citizen Eco-drives ... including one that I really like.

25% off AND I had a $10 off coupon!

Crazy? Yes.

Let's just say that a little bluebird made me do it.

In HVAC news, the tech will be out to the house on Thursday morning. Mom will come to the rescue once again. Hopefully this issue can be resolved quickly and require any of my body limbs for payment. Mom did mention, however, that the HVAC tech is both single and cute!

Since I've had no nibbles on renting out the spare bedroom, I decided to move my futon in it so that my guests are more comfortable. That also gives the dogs and rats a room of their own!

The cube fridge is sporting a spiffy new paint job. The next time I take the Endeavor to work, it will come with me.

Speaking of work, thanks to the wonders of the Internet, I am able to check my mail from home and worked on a few projects during the day. I ran into a glitch with trying to access my work PC from home, but hopefully that will sort out soon. When it does, I be really able to work from home when possible.

An approved vacation slip has been submitted for the camping trip in June and the beach trip in September. More YAY!

Treadmill = zero lately (bad me)

This afternoon I saw my first iris bloom of the season - a pure white one behind the house. Also in the first category was the first hummingbird at the feeder this weekend.

Tonight's sky is gorgeous - the stars are so bright and wonderful as if that certain bluebird if smiling down at me.
