Hot, Not, Hot
May 3rd, 2010 09:02 pmNot longer after I got into the office this morning, I received a phone call from the HVAC folks who let me know that a tech could be at the house around 10 am. Mom saves the day by driving over to my house to be there for when the tech comes. (THANKS MOM!) Of course, he doesn't come until noon or so.
Two pounds of freon later, I am told that my system has a leak. Sometimes the leak goes away but sometimes the leak requires expensive dye testing that "usually" finds the leak. If it doesn't then we wait for the leak to get big enough to be found.
While all this is kinda poopy, at least they came right away and I have a working AC again.
WRONG!
Upon arriving home the house felt humid and the temperature was 75 degrees, not the 72 that it is set for.
CRAPPITY!
Since I got home too late to put a call into the HVAC folks, I will be calling first thing in the morning.
Commute in: 1 hour 15 minutes
Commute home: 1 hour 30 minutes (YAY)
