The weekend
By Sunday evening:
...we should have had a working garage door.
...we should have had a new exhaust fan in the master bath. Our plan was to buy a newer and MUCH more quiet model to replace the loud unit that came with the house. Seems that barring major drywall and installation headaches, this is not going to happen. What we did come home with was a replacement lens and a can of spray paint. The fan is still loud but at least it looks like new!
...we should have had a fully painted master bathroom. It took three coats of white to cover the drywall work and the old dark paint (and that part did get completed). However, when I started painting the walls
...we should have been able to lie in bed and work the ceiling fan with the spiffy new remote control we picked up at Home Depot. This was not meant to be because our celing fans do not have enough room in the housing for installation of the device.
So now I'll be looking for a garage door fixer person to come out to the house and picking up paint ships for both the master bath (some form of blue) and for the living room (some sort of sage) when I return stuff to Home Depot. Oh yeah, and we're shopping for a new ceiling fan that comes with the remote installed.

Successful Monday (or 5 things plus)
Items returned to Home Depot without any fuss - yay!
Went to Bubbles for the first time for a haircut - so far I'm pleased with the result (
daecabhir is as well).
Grocery run to Wegman's achieved.
A recipe (bean & vegetable bourguignon) that I saw in one of
daecabhir's cookbooks came out quite delightful.
Hair colored in a lighter ginger tone that is
daecabhir-approved.
Now to get ready for tomorrow's job interview.
