September 27th, 2011 06:27 pmWow ... despite wanting to sit down at the PC and bang out an update (not to mention some excellent thing posts) I've just not found the time this past week.
My last post was cut a bit short by LJ having a horrid time or switching between rich text and HTML and me sitting here cussing like a sailor.
Since my time is short to type much an update, here are some (more than five!) excellent things that have been happening in my life:
11 months of shiny!
Having a call back job interview.
Buying some awesome carnations at Martin's and enjoying on the dining room table.
Getting registered for pottery class.
Finding a note in my panty drawer.

daecabhir and I beating our colds.
Getting back to MDRF after two weekends away.
Sewing the last pair of wrap pants fordaecabhir and having them come out well.
Ditto for sewing a silver skirt fordreamtigress
"Mass" producing fan pouches AND having them sell.
Getting a gorgeous rose fromamywon

- Yummy food at Thai Culpeper for dinner.
- Nice enough weather so that we could mow the lawn and pretty up the yard.
- Mom babysitting the dogs for us while we go on vacation.
- Preparing to go on our first vacation together.

September 8th, 2011 09:05 pmThankfully I am feeling much better today and managed to get a bunch of errands done in Fredericksburg. The Prius got its oil changed and is now ready for our trip to the OBX.
With the remnants of tropical storm lee pelting us with rain for days on end, many of our friends are having flooding problems; we've been very lucky in that regard.
Since I've not done a five things post in a while, here's the list of current things I am grateful for:

Since I've not done a five things post in a while, here's the list of current things I am grateful for:
- daecabhir sending me a red rose a love note at faire this past weekend.
- Receiving excellent and cheerful help today in the stores that I visited.
- Not feeling puny anymore.
- Scoring some good bargains on sewing supplies.
- Having time to paint my nails ... and daecabhir liking the color.
- Completing two projects on the new serger (thanks again, Mom!)
- daecabhir coming home and digging the above two completed projects (they were for him)
- Another stellar day weather-wise (I could get used to this!)
- Not having to jury-rig the new battery for the Wing
- Finishing my first Scott Sigler book (Infected)
- Another stellar day weather-wise.
- Finding the scissors I needed on sale.
- Completing the paint job on the front entry-way.
- Having a good catch-up call with dreamtigress
- Extremely helpful employees inHome Depot.
I've been a bit remiss in postings of 5 things, but hopefully some of my posts have let you know that life is good.
- Running into an old (and very missed) friend today in the grocery store.
- Starting on a business plan last night.
- Having a partner who not only fetches the roll of paper towels from the basment but also puts it on the holder!
- A wonderful Mom who met me at the grocery store to deliver our dogs.
- Getting the master bath ready so that we can use it again.
Items returned to Home Depot without any fuss - yay!
Went to Bubbles for the first time for a haircut - so far I'm pleased with the result (daecabhir is as well).
Grocery run to Wegman's achieved.
A recipe (bean & vegetable bourguignon) that I saw in one ofdaecabhir's cookbooks came out quite delightful.
Hair colored in a lighter ginger tone that isdaecabhir-approved.
Now to get ready for tomorrow's job interview.
