Seeing spots...

Last night on my way home from work & shopping, I saw a SMALL deer along side the road. Since it was awfully small & very close to the road, I decided to turn around & have a closer look.

As I came up to the spot, it was still along the edge of the road. As my headlights caught the deer's form I saw SPOTS ~ it was a spotted fawn in December! Talk about a late baby.

I swung the Endeavor around to have another look, trying to determine whether or not it was injured. In the meantime I am on the phone with Brian ~ he tells me not to bring it home. Wow, I wonder why he thought I might do that? haha!

The fawn did not appear injured, but I wanted to make certain, so I turned around AGAIN & pulled off of the road as best I could. I was going to get out of the truck to see just how close it would let me get when it bounded off into the woods.

While I didn't get to bring it home, it was a miraculous sight!
