Post Holiday Stuff
December 28th, 2005 04:00 pmWe had a fairly low-key holiday this year which was a nice change of pace.
Since I had some vacation time to burn, I took the 23rd off so that we could go hunting two days in a row. The ex shot TWO does - one of which is one of the largest bodied deer he has killed. I missed a deer on a drive that did - he ran 4 or 5 right past me but deer running flat out do not seem to be my shooting forte.
Christmas morning... the ex wakes me up with a smile. "MERRY CHRISTMAS" he says. LOL I have to stay out of the kitchen, dining room & living room since "someone" had not wrapped any of my presents. This "someone" forgot to get a Christmas card for me too. I razzed him a bit about it - don't you worry!
After opening our presents, we went to visit Aunt Puddin' for a little while, then it was back home to get a turkey in the oven for Christmas with my mom.
