Wacky Wednesday?
December 21st, 2005 11:05 amHere I am sitting at work with Christmas just a few days away ... about 1/2 of my shopping complete. I asked the ex last night if we would do stockings for each other & he said yes. Santa better hurry up & do some stocking shopping! LOL
This past Saturday we took our 8-year old nephew hunting with us & he shot his very first deer! We're so proud of him. It was a nice size doe which he dropped cleanly in one shot. I took a shot at a small doe & missed; the ex tried a head shot at one & missed as well, so I guess you could say we were showed up by an 8 year old.
Sunday found us butchering the doe for the ex's brother & sister-in-law even though the ex was sick. After a full day with 3 little boys running about we were both ready to do nothing but rest. We sent them home with two bags full of processed venison.
We are planning to go hunting on the 23rd & 24th, as well as the 26th. I hope to add a second deer to my tally for the season.
