Ribbit!
My voice is pretty well shot and I sound like a frog. I am feeling fairly well but get tired easily. Maybe I will sound so pathetic tomorrow at work that the boss will go easy on me.
Weather is supposed to be very nice so I should be on two wheels as long as I feel up to it in the morning.
My trip into Fredericksburg should have been a short one but evrything took far longer than it should have. I stopped by the house that is being built a few houses down and the builder was there. He showed off the house to me ... the dry wall was hung over the weekend and things are really taking shape. Once I left to head to town, I ended up in some traffic due to a fender bender on Route 3.
Shortly thereafter, I learned that the Joann's fabric store I drove to is no longer there. A trip to Micheal's was a waste since they did not have what I was looking for.
Then it was off to the Verizon store in BJ's to ask a few Droid questions; seems easy but the folks in front of me were buying three smart phones and had a TON of questions. 45 minutes or so later, I got some help. Seems that even with a task killer app there is no way to stop a zillion apps from running. The best advice is to check what is running often. I also learned how to work my GPS on the phone (which would have come in handy on the beach trip). By now it was 2pm and I was starving so a stop by Subway on my way out yielded a yummy lunch.
Next stop was Home Depot so that I replace my new dented mailbox with an undented one. Sounds simple, but we had to open two boxes before we found one that was okay. (I am so glad I made them open the boxes!)
With a new and undented mailbox procured, I went to Giant and did some grocery shopping since my fridge looks like it belongs to a bachelor (condiments and wine coolers). Turns out they had bottom round roasts on sale and I brought home to cook in the rotisserie. It turned out excellent!
It was 5:30 pm before I got home ... but I made the above mentioned yummy roast AND managed to get the new mailbox installed.
Duchess is still gimpy on her left front leg. I am encouraging her to take it easy on it.
Talked with a good friend tonight and he made me feel like a million bucks when he said, "You know that whatever man gets you is going to be damn lucky, right?"
Wow!
