daecabhir and I have had a wonderful three-day weekend!
Saturday found us getting a LOT accomplished around the country home. We'd gotten a cord of firewood delivered (which really looks to be a full cord and decent wood to boot) and got it all stacked up neatly. The Gold Wing is covered and settled in for winter with a trickle charger to keep keep that fancy schmancy battery in good working order. I went through and cleaned up my garage cabinet - purging a lot of old junk. We moved the kiln to the basement and did some general straightening about the house. Probably my big accomplishment for the day was sewing a garb shirt for my honey (which he looks dashing in).
daecabhir made pizza from scratch for dinner that was ever so yummy. (And we found out that faux pepperoni is awesome!)
And we danced in the new year!
On Sunday we headed over to
1painter42's for a little get together. The food was yummy (and yay for a recipe swap) and the company was wonderful as always.
Today
daecabhir and I went to see Warhorse at the theater and sadly it was a disappointment. Too much war, too many plot bog-downs and - the worst of it - too many equine errors. I was hoping for a horse story with the war for a back drop but Disney (go figure) made a war movie that had a horse in the cast. Movie aside, my date was handsome and excellent company and we enjoyed an early dinner on the way home.
