Creative writing journal, entry 3

Horrendous storms today. This morning, while walking to work, the wind was blowing from the east. To feel the power of Nature so strongly is always uplifting to me.

The highlight of yesterday's dreary workday was the provost's secretary (a prim and proper snit of a woman) dropping her keys down the toilet. She was mortified. Mr. T., the business office manager, fished them out for her.

A bit of loneliness has crept up on me. Not really loneliness, I guess, just a little longing for some male companionship. All of this has me thinking ... do I need a man in my life? No, after much consideration, I just want one right now.

Today is the kind of rainy, windy day that you just want to curl up with something enjoyable (a good book or a good man).
