One day at a time!
April 25th, 2005 02:10 pmI was needing a haircut something fierce... I had already cut my bangs on my own, so when we went to "town" a haircut for moi was high on the list. Mae, who cut my hair a time or two in the past was not available, so off we trudge through the mall in search of a hair cutting wizard.
Our search ended at the JC Penney salon where a hairdresser had time for me. Brian made the arrangements for me while I was in the ladies room. After a short wait, I am ushered to the back by none other than a Schneider lookalike. I kid you not!
Meet my new hairdresser... Vinnie - a short, compact Italian man in his 50's - complete with chopped mustache, tattoos, funky glasses (BLUE tint!) & *the* hair. It was SO funny. Turns out Vinnie is a dear. He chastised me for trimming my own bangs (it ruins everything!) & we talked about tattoos. His latest tat was inked by a lady here in Fredericksburg that I would love to have some work done by.
For those counting, Vinnie is married (to a woman). AND... my hair turned out just fine.
In honor of Vinnie & Schneider lookalikes everywhere...
This is it. This is it.
This is life, the one you get
So go & have a ball.
This is it. This is it
Straight ahead & rest assured
You can’t be sure at all.
So while you’re here enjoy the view
Keep on doing what you do
So hold on tight we'll muddle through
One day at a time, One day at a time.
So up on your feet. Up on your feet
Somewhere there’s music playing.
Don’t you worry none
We’ll just take it like it comes.
One day at a time, one day at a time.
One day at a time, one day at a time.
One day at a time, one day at a time.
One day at a time, one day at a time.
