Catching up from the weekend.
May 10th, 2005 03:30 pmWow... I guess must be "over the hill" (or something) because time sure is flying fast! The past few days have gone by so fast that it's not funny.
Saturday, May 7: What a wonderful time we had celebrating DreamTigress's birthday in Baltimore. The Stubbs exhibit was AMAZING! I think could have stared at the painting of Whistlejacket for HOURS! Even though Mom & I got back to Virginia MUCH later than anticipated, I am SO glad we spent the day with Tiger & her Llama. And while I could have spent a small fortune in the gift shop, I was a good girl! Of course, now I have a Stubbs' print to get framed. =)
Sunday, May 8: Time to treat Mom out to some shopping & lunch. After spending 3 hours in Costco, we were ready for some lunch! After a leisurely lunch we headed to this neat wild bird shop & then to the nursery. Another fun-filled day, but at least we got home before dark this time! Since I had some time on my hands after Mom left, I planted the hostas that I bought & did some whirlwind housecleaning before settling down for the night.
Monday, May 9: Despite a few folks that only seem to have a "down button" on their elevator of life, I was in such high spirits there's no way they were going to get me down. Not even the last minute craziness of getting material shipped out for a client made me crazy. Not even a client not remembering what components were in their package made me crazy. Oh yeah... we had awesome weather to boot, so I rode the bike & got to take a walk for lunch. Thought about shooting the bow, but got sidetracked watering plants and more housecleaning.
The ex was right... he left me a note thanking me for his "great" birthday & told me that he would be home before I knew it.
And... last but not least... the ex is home from his hunting trip! He came home last last night & I was SO happy to see him! He saw a moose while turkey hunting ~ how neat. I am glad we had some away-from-each-other time - we both needed it.
