OK... that was a really bad line from a 1960's cooking show featuring Joyce Chen. Chen hosted a Chinese cooking show (in black & white!) & greeted her audience in Engrish, "Hello! I have been stinking of you! Have you been stinking of me?"

Musing on a quiet Friday

Airforce Nutrisoda is one of my new favorite things.  We picked some up at a 7-11 by chance (Immune ~ tangerine/lime) & it is VERY yummy.  It's refreshing, crisp & good for me.  It is also outrageously expensive so I doubt I will be able to keep up with my new fix.

Speaking of fixes... I am really missing having my nails done.  It's been - gosh - about 4 years since I stopped going for manicures & having my (real) nails coated with acrylic.  They used to be so long & shiny & fun.  Now they are chewed up nubs.  < sob >

Being happy.  For some reason I am just not that happy lately.  I'm not sure why this is happening.  Sure, I have times when I am happy, but overall I feel rather unsettled.  I realize that I must make an effort to be happy... but something is not connecting.  Whoever disconnected me, please plug me back in!  LOL

One bit of happiness came on Thursday when a co-worker surprised me with flowers.  WOW!  I am lucky to work around such awesome folks.  (The flowers were to cheer me up after a client "threw me under a bus" the previous day.)  Most folks think they are from Brian.  HA!

Tomorrow is our local Fire Department's fried chicken dinner.  I have no clue of what these folks do to make the chicken so absolutely scrumptious, but I can't wait to go!

Also going on for the next few weekends is the VA ren faire.  It's pretty small from what I gather, but I would like to check it out just the same.  I am hoping that maybe

dreamtigress  will come down & we can go together.  Maybe!
