Before bed musings
July 24th, 2005 10:04 pmWhat a busy day today! I kinda had the day to myself & planned on getting a lot done around the house. After 4 loads of wash, 1 dishwasher load, washing pots & pans & stuff, working on the flooring trim & a bunch of other cleaning I feel like I have accomplished something. Oh yes... add 22 minutes on the treadmill, 1 broken nail & 1 smashed finger. LOL
Not sure if I mentioned the flooring project here on LJ or not yet. We are ripping up pretty much all of our flooring & laying down laminate. Most of the house is/was carpeted. So far, we have the 3 bedrooms & the hallway done. The *wood* we chose is called Summer Maple. It's light without being washed out & has a good character to it.
While we are doing the floors, we are also taking advantage of having the rooms clear & painting the rooms that need it. Our spare room & office now have a fresh coat of paint. The living room will also get a new look.
The house looks so much better already & it is still a construction zone!
Work is keeping me busy. Even though I am supposed to be working towards a planning position, it seems that I keep getting new clients or asked to take on jobs. The VP says there is light at the end of the tunnel - I trust her... but I am growing weary.
Speaking of weary ~ I should get my arse to bed!
