Enough already!
August 1st, 2006 10:39 amI can't seem to shake this creeping crud congestion that has had me in its grip for almost 2 weeks now. I feel OK, just a little run down, but sound like crap, am all stuffed up & still have a wee bit of coughing now & again. Sure it could be worse, but I want to be 100% healthy! Besides, I am getting tired of blowing my nose - LOL!
No word on the Dodge as of yet. We wish the dealership would have been a bit more honest in their estimate of when someone would ACTUALLY look at the truck! I know Brian is frustrated over it & I commend him for taking it all well.
Right before vacation, a house on our road went up for sale. Actually, it's the house "next" to us ... which means its about a half mile away. There used to be a ton of trees between us, but they are cutting them all down to build another house. [YUCK] Yesterday morning, I stopped by & picked up a flyer for the house. $370,000! I would say that the house & property is fairly comparable to ours ... we have more land, they have a finished basement; we have a detached garage, the other house is brick; etc.
First off, I can't believe the asking price is so high. It also means our place is worth way more than what we thought ... which is not a bad thing at all. Of course, that means our property taxes will go up as well.
Secondly, I think it would be well worth it for Mom & I to check the house out as it is a one level ranch home with a walk out basement which is exactly what she likes. It'd be awesome to have her closer to us.
Curiously though, when I drove home yesterday the for sale sign was gone & it looked like the previous tenants were back. Stay tuned...
