August 7th, 2006 11:30 amHere we are at the beginning of another week & here I am trying to think of something clever to say. Hmm ... seems to me that we have been here before! LOL
This weekend I think finally beat the creeping crud cold that has had a grip on me for over 2 weeks. Just a bit stuffy still, but nothing like the congestion of the past. For those who really care, or who have strong stomachs, I am just happy to have hard boogers now instead of the tsunami of snot that has plagued me recently. Ewwww!
I think we had a good weekend. We were sort of bums & not on Saturday ... I got several things done that needed to be done & played too much EQ all at the same time.
On Saturday evening we went to the local Ruritan Club's shrimp dinner. All you can eat for $16, & between Mom, the ex, & I, we get our money's worth for sure. The shrimp were awesome this time (the last 2 times have been a little off) & they have the best baked beans around.
After dinner, we staggered with full bellies to the parking lot where some folks wanting a group picture asked the ex for some help. Off he goes to take a picture of this fun loving group. The group, mind you, is 2 couples in the mid-to-late 50's if I have to guess. Just as he is taking the picture, one of the ladies grabs her husband's crotch. They were worried that the ex might have been offended, but I think he encouraged her to do it again!
Sunday found the ex helping his brother work on a dump truck & me with the whole house to myself. Woohoo! I spent the day getting various things done around the house, including trying to sort out piles of the ex's papers & stuff. The curious find among the UNOPENED mail was a bill dating to 2002!
The man is a mess!
Literally ... you should have seen him when he came home from working on the truck!
