pandasheart: I am pony! Hear me roar! (rapidash)
Seems I have been so busy that I have had zero time to keep my LJ up-to-date but here I am tapping away. I hope that you're sitting down...

The ex & I had a MARVELOUS time on our beach week vacation with friends. This week was a REAL vacation for me - no laptop, no calls to or from the office, nothing but friends & fun & food.

Getting together with our friends like this for a whole week is SO awesome. We talked, ate, played games, ate, went in the ocean, had fun, & ate some more.

One of the most amazing things that happened during week was the ex going to play 18 holes of golf. The ex. My ex. Golf. Go figure. He really enjoyed it (all the pictures that I got to see of him playing proved it too). Of course, the rented clubs he played with did not come close to fitting him, but he made it work & had a blast just the same.

Another amazing thing was that later in the week we went played 9 holes golf together. Yup, I played too. Darned if whacking that little ball is not WAY harder than it looks! I'm really glad he talked me into it!

On a jaunt to Myrtle Beach, we stopped by Bass Pro Shops so the ex could pay homage to the great hunting store. :::eye roll::: We didn't get into too much trouble, but I did get to handle the new Parker crossbow ~ the Fireball ~ which is specifically made for women. It is SO sexy!

Back to the amazing stuff...

We got to watch dolphins a few times. One morning we must have watched them swimming by for about 20 minutes. It was so tempting to try to swim out to them but reality has a tendency of sinking in & I am not a very good swimmer. Extra funny is that I hate swimming in the ocean because of all the "things" swimming with you, but I adore being with dolphins.

One night as we were going bed the ex asked me the following question:

"Do you like the sound of Anna Marie Robertson?"

It's probably a good thing that I was laying down because I would have fallen down had been standing up.

I told him yes.

This brief interlude came in a week of folks mistakenly calling us husband & wife ... however as we drove away from Sunset Beach, the ex asked me if I would marry him. The ex. My ex. Proposed.

I said yes.

It's a good thing that he was driving & not me because we would have crashed for sure!
