The day after
December 26th, 2006 09:21 pmWe made it through another holiday with flying colors, IMHO. It seemed that everyone had a very nice time & got lots of presents that they really liked. Oh yeah, of course, we all ate too much as well.
The only 2 minor gift bummers that come to mind are the slippers that I got for Brian (they didn't fit ~ go figure) & me getting duplicate gifts from Mom & Brian. Brian? My darling Husband? Please ~ PLEASE ~ check in with Mom, Tiger & my Amazon list next time. =)
The Christmas brunch with David, Milinda & the boys was a lot of fun. Our littlest nephew started out by whispering everything, including "ho ho ho" but soon 'found' his voice. The boys really got a kick out of some *gourmet* treats, including Reindeer Poop (milk duds), Reindeer noses (red hots) & Snowman Poop (marshmallows). Thanks to Tempest for this fun!
On the menu for Christmas dinner was prime rib, corn pudding, sugar snap peas & mashed cauliflower with roasted garlic. A yummy assortment of pies for dessert compliments of Mom & Jen. The prime rib was awesome; cooking it in the rotisserie is the best way to go!
Mom & I brought Jen back to Baltimore today. It was nice getting to visit for a few days in a row. For lunch we stopped at a place called Chicken Out. It's like a Boston Market, only they say it's better.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this a most excellent holiday!
