The Wolf Pack

That is what Brian is calling the 4 Beagles who are still "living" with us.  He asked if I have named named them yet, I told him sure.  I think he got worried because I noticed a distinct difference in his voice when he asked what the names were.

Their names?

Number 1, number 2, number 3 & number 4.

He tried it out, calling 1, 2, 3, 4 at the dogs & gave himself a good chuckle.

Yesterday I cleaned up our dog pen & fixed up a bucket for water.  They cannot continue to stay in the garage.  All 4 dogs fit into the large dog house that Brian made; I just hope that they can keep themselves warm enough.  It took a good bit of patience to get all 4 of them into the pen again, but mission accomplished.  Pulled 3 more ticks off the first little girl.

Here's a little bit about these pups:
The first female (being the first because we saw her first) is mostly black with a head that is a bit narrow for my tastes.  She is a bit leggy as well for the smaller beagles I imagine.  She is the bravest & has developed a fondness for having her belly rubbed.

The second one is the male.  I think he's pretty handsome; stout & sturdy built with nicely balanced markings.

Third is the ugly bitch.  No way around it, this dog is very ugly.  She is older than the others & has a pug-like face.  She had a small abscess under her eye that is healing nicely though.  Turns out she is the Alpha of this little wolf pack.

Number 4 is the most scared one of them all.  A very pretty bitch whose blaze marking matches the male's almost perfectly.  In a fit of forgetfulness, she actually came up & licked my hand ... the look of surprise on her face when she realized what she was doing was funny.

These Beagles are about half the size of Cooper.

I'm still not quite sure what to do with them, I keep hoping an owner will materialize.  Brian thinks the dogs were dropped off on purpose.
