This weekend found us in North Carolina for a Mardi Gras party. Plenty of good friends, lots of beads & the infamous King Cake. Don't know what a King Cake is? Google it like I did! And yes, the King Cake had a baby baked in it! (Got your curiosity up now, don't I?)
One dear friend presented Brian & I with a quilt that she made especially for us as a wedding present. It's got a woodland theme on one side & the reverse side is bright orange fleece! It's awesome!
Although I was a little out of sorts, we had a wonderful time with the exception of me taking a little slide down a few stairs. Those middle-of-the-night-bathroom-trips can be hazardous to your health. Fortunately, I caught myself with my wrist & big bum otherwise, I would have gone down the full flight of stairs at o'dark thirty.
