Sunday ramblings
July 1st, 2007 12:12 pmConsumer good manufacturers are pissing me off!
I wrote Puffs to let them know their tissues absolutely suck. Every time I blow my nose, I end up with a lint mustache! The look works really well for the dairy council, but not so much for the tissue industry. Turns out that Puffs is owned by Proctor & Gamble who responded to my complaint with a coupon for FREE PUFFS TISSUES. Apparently they wish to anger me further. They also included a coupon for dog food. Tissues & dog food? Why they go together just like peanut butter & hand grenades.
FYI - Proctor & Gamble now owns Iams (see above dog food coupon reference). I won't bet the farm on it but I would put good money on that is the reason why Iams was named in the pet food scare. They used to be a top notch company.
Consumer product disappointment number 2 came in the form of finding out that my all-time favorite toothpaste EVER - Colgate vanilla mint - has been discontinued. At least Colgate responded with a very nice apology; even stating that they did not any stock to offer me but that they would pass on my comment to R&D.
We still have 3 Beagles to find homes for. Please help spread the word, I would really hate for the two adults to end up at the pound after all this time.
