pandasheart: (celt flame pony)
Just a little update since I have been slacking for a while...

The last puppy is SOLD!  We are waiting for his new mommy to come by with the balance so she can take her bundle of puppy love home.  His new owner is a friend of Brian's brother, so the puppy went at a discount but at least he'll not be eating any more of our house.  (Among other things, he's chewed through a keyboard cord, eaten our grill cover, chomped on several rugs & chewed on our deck.)

After a week of having the office to myself, my boss comes back today.  You know, the guy that I have a hard time calling my boss.  I hope he doesn't freak when he finds out that I did not complete the freaking HUGE laundry list of crap he left me to do.

Under the "other duties as assigned" category, I have been asked to work on a new design for our feedbags.  Since I am a non-artist, this is a real thrill for me.  This is not something that changes very often, so if my design flies, it will be around for a very long time.  I have a good idea in my head of what I want, I just hope I make it happen in the appropriate art programs (Photoshop & InDesign).

Mom's freezer is on the blitz so right now we have a bunch of her frozen foods at our house.  I hope that she can get the freezer fixed or replaced under warranty with a minimum amount of fuss from the manufacturer.  She has not had the freezer long & we bought it for her, so I feel bad it konked out so soon.

Scoped out new glasses yesterday at Wal-Mart of all places.  I am a little nervous about getting glasses there, but they are right across the street from CFC & are supposed to participate in our insurance program.  Of course, when the vision center tech called the insurance company to verify coverage, she was informed that  they didn't know what eye plan Brian has or if he even has one.  Funny, because when I called about a month ago, they knew.  I think part of the problem may be that it is just after July 1 which is the fiscal year for the County.  Hopefully Brian can get it sorted out today.

After much debate on my part about going to transition lenses, staying with clip ons or going back to using prescription sunglasses, I think have decided on prescription sunglasses.  The transitions just don't go very dark & with new eyeglasses being small & trendy they do not offer much coverage from the sun.  I found a decent pair of eyeglass frames for my regular pair that are the flex stuff, but the real excitement came at finding a pair of really awesome Bolle sunglass frames.  Now to see what the insurance covers for my reality check.
