Healthy enough for ...
August 4th, 2007 08:53 pmA road trip to Ikea!
Brian, Mom & I headed north early this morning so that we could check out Ikea's selection of track lighting for our master bathroom & kitchen. When we got there, we went up to their cafe to enjoy some free coffee & ended up eating a second breakfast! (Well, a first breakfast for Mom.) We selected a nice 3-halogen-light track fixture for the bathroom & a few odds & ends from Ikea. Then after a trip to Home Depot, Lowes & back to Home Depot, we ended up with a nice fixture for over the island in our kitchen.
Traffic coming home was so horrendous! It took us over 1.5 hours to make a 20 minute trip! Chinese food for lunch, then a quick shop at Costco before we could call it a day. I hope we didn't wear Mom out too much!
It looks like my face is healing well. I left the bandage off for the evening & just made sure I kept the wound coated with antibiotic ointment. It feels wonderful not to have tape & gauze stuck all over my cheek! What sort of scar I will end up with still remains to be seen. The doctor told me that I may end up with a new dimple.
The day tired me out a bit, but it feels great to do normal stuff again. I'll just have to goof off tomorrow!
