It is morning, isn't it?
October 20th, 2007 09:24 amHmm ... an interesting start to "life with CPAP". I was way too wired to go to sleep & did not even attempt to crawl into bed until midnight or so. Brian was sleeping with his CPAP on & seemed to be doing OK. I put mine on & talked myself into calming down.
It's an irrational thing, being claustrophobic, but I can't be like Spock all the time. They weird part is that even though the mask is blowing air into my nose & mouth, one of the scariest things is that I feel as if I am going to suffocate.
Ar 2:30 am, I struggled with the mask & tubing so much that the CPAP machine hit the floor & Brian had to 'rescue' me. I don't think that I ever really feel asleep ... at least I don't feel like I did at this point. LOL
In other news, we got a LOT accomplished yesterday. Or as Brian chided, *I* got a lot accomplished. In addition to being fitted for the CPAPs, my wedding ring is clean & shiny & inspected due to its biyearly check up. We also did some shopping at Costco & started the hunt for a big screen TV. We found eyeglasses for me at Sears, the second place we looked; Lenscrafters had a very small selection. My specs will have titanium Ray Ban frames which Brian picked out. Silly me forgot the prescription at the house, so I'll have to fax it Monday.
One thing that we sort of didn't get done was tires for my SUV. We dropped my Endeavor off at Costco to have the tires rotated & checked for warranty because while the tires have a 65,000 mile warranty, they are about bald with 35,000 miles on them. Even though I have had the tires rotated fairly consistently (by Costco, no less) they informed me that there is nothing that they 'can' do for me. I see it as "nothing they *will* do". Oddly enough my membership is coming due in December.
