Lots of slacking!
October 28th, 2007 02:44 pmSeem my grandiose plans of keeping a bit of a log about my adventures in CPAP-land went out the window!
The went by both very fast & very slow - all at the same time!
What I remember ... night two was very rough & by night 3 I had a meltdown. After getting me calm & quiet, Brian decided to give my CPAP mask a try & asked if I wanted to try his. Even though I was expecting another failure, the nose-only mask seemed to work this time for me. We used the chin strap to keep my mouth shut (NO! You cannot borrow this device when I am talking too much!). Somehow, I actually fell asleep & got some quality sleep for a few hours.
Brian would eventually swing by the medical supply place & pick up a large insert for my mask that he was wearing & a small insert for his mask that I was wearing. The tech that we are working with was actually pleased that we were experimenting to make things work instead of disapproving of our meddling. I had to modify my mask a bit to keep it from tickling me & I need to do some research on other nasal-only masks that cover less of your face. Our tech said she can pretty much order anything that I wish to try.
Last night, I woke up at 2 am because a drop of condensation hit me in the face & I was right at that stage of being too tired to mess with the whole ordeal of starting over with the mask & machine, but awake enough to make decision to go back to bed sans CPAP. Big mistake. I woke up feeling less rested & Brian said that I snored for the first time in a week.
Enough of all this blather. The weather has turned a bit cold again today (yesterday was tank top weather!) but it is so pretty out! The tress have a little color - not much because of the drought - but enough to look & smell like fall. Next Saturday is the first day of muzzleloader & Brian has not prepped our guns yet.
A big hello to a certain ogre who may actually be brave enough to read this rubbish!
