Things like holiday cards are coming together & I should be able to get most of them done this weekend. Haven't bought my holiday stamps yet, I hope they have a pretty non-Christmas option. If not, who knows what ya'll may see this year!
We had hopes of buying a new Christmas tree this year, but the suckers are really expensive, so I think we will pass & pay our personal property tax instead. Don't get me started on double taxation by the Commonwealth!
For my birthday, I came home to a Brian-cooked Angus steak meal with REAL sweet potatoes. The Angus is amazing ... this is the beef we bought from a CFC store manager. Brian says he thinks it is the best beef he has ever had.
For those of you not in the know, REAL sweet potatoes are very different from what you typically in the store (which are really yams). No, they're not the same thing. Yams are very dark orange with a dark skin & sweet. Sweet potatoes have a light skin with light yellow/orange flesh & a slight sweet-slight nutty flavor. Both are yummy, but having real sweet potatoes was a very nice treat.
Cooper is back to normal now ... even to the point that we know he wants to run off again.
32 degrees this morning & I am in my robe tapping at keys instead of sitting in the woods. Brian will be working today, so I am on my own for hunting. I will try to go out in the afternoon for a bit behind the house.
The Plantar Fasciitis flareup is finally fading. The way my knee was involved this time was ce4rtainly not fun.
