No real progress
March 6th, 2008 06:20 amWe still don't have a name for our AmStaff (aka pit bull) pup. We had poopage in the house this morning; if he gave me a warning it was VERY subtle.
I think the ex will burst if his bike does not come in soon. Tentative plans to pick it up are for the 15th. With our finances the way they are, I would prefer he wait until the end of the month, but the financing he applied for runs out on the 19th.
Seems that there is a very good supply of aftermarket support for the VTX so The ex is like a kid in a candy store. A very expensive one!
Work is busy, busy, busy. The first sales flyer that I have handled from start to finish has been printed & while it looks a lot better than it ever has, it can still be approved upon a lot. I truly miss working with real graphic designers. A big hint was the following:
Me: Change font to san serif
Pseudo designer: That must be a PC font. I'm on a Mac. Pick another one please.
Me: THUD
A serif is the small finishing line at the top and/or bottom of some fonts. Times New Roman is a serif font. Arial is sans serif font (sans = without).
It has nothing to do with Mac or PC. It's also about as basic of a thing that you need to do if you are going to call yourself a graphic designer.
ARGH!
