June 30th, 2008 01:25 pmJune is over & 2008 is half over. Wow. Time seems to fly faster & faster all the time!
I've yet to shoot my new crossbow. I'm kinda reluctant to shoot bolts into the standard bow targets we have. The ex doesn't think it will be an issue, but most of what I have read recommends a bolt target. Only 4 bolts came with the crossbow & as it turns out, the suckers are expensive! ($10 a pop at least.)
The weekend was an OK one. Saturday found us at a VTX motorcycle party. We arrived rather late due to a certain VTX rider not getting real directions. We did, however, make it in time for door prizes - of which there were tons. The ex won a lit air cover for his bikes & I won a do-it-yourself oil change (oil & a filter). Another oil change winner came to me as he was leaving & gave me his oil & filter, so I went home with close to a case of oil & 2 filters.
On Sunday, the ex went fishing with his brother & the nephews while I chose to stay home. I baked a yummy date nut bread, put some items up for sale on ebay & played some EQ.
