dreamtigress in a while, I will blame her for this puny-ness since she sounds sick enough to give me germs all the way Baltimore. Either that or it is the GMs fault for running the AC in 50 degree weather.
No hunting last night since Brian & I had a meeting. With the cold temperatures & feeling puny, I seriously doubt that I will be in the woods this evening.
I probably would have bailed from work some time today but I had a lunch meeting for a committee I sit on that I really wanted to make. I'm glad that I went too. Chicken Francaise for lunch made me feel a bit better & I came back to the office for the rest of the afternoon. Or what's left at this point. This last hour is d-r-a-g-g-i-n-g out something awful.
My 'boss' seemed to once again reinforce to me that he's an idiot. He sent me an e-mail this morning directing me to make a purchase and while he let me know what terms I need to negotiate, he neglected to tell what product is (I had NO idea) or who we buy it from! eh?
Seems that our local polling place is desperate ... they called & asked me to work. Sadly, my 'boss' would charge me a vacation day to do so & I had to decline.
Finally got in touch with the customer service manager at Ashley Furniture. End result: A NEW hutch is on order for which she is trying to arrange free delivery/pick up & a technician is coming to our house on 10/30 to address the issues as well as assemble the remaining chairs. Yay for progress - let's hope they live up to their promises.
