The Ashley furniture tech put together the remaining 6 chairs for us & noted that a chair that Brian had assembled has stripped screws. He also fixed the gouge in one of the chairs & much to my surprise repaired the chair that had a chunk missing from it. Even more amazing is that you can't really tell that it had been damaged.
The tech offered that we could swap out the replacement part for this chair when it comes or just keep it as a spare.
The guy was floored to found out about the repaired piece of furniture (the hutch) that we ended up with.
Since this whole process took way longer than expected, I called work & let my boss know that it made no sense for me make the drive for 2 hours left of the workday & let him know that I had been working home all day anyhow.
Speaking of work, what I have spent most of my day doing is sorting out Gmail since I am no longer permitted to use Outlook at work. This completely bites because while every email I have received or sent is stored in Gmail since the day that I started at CFC, all the folders, deleted mail, etc. from Outlook is lost. What I have is well over 5,000 unsorted emails to wade through.
In what will be the first of many rants - Gmail SUCKS. It has piss-poor organizational capabilities, completely inadequate contact storage/display & the "discussion" feature is absurd. It was NOT designed for business/professional use. grrrrr
