The ex & I headed over to Bob's place in Culpeper where we did some hunting this past season & decided to bring Tucker with us.

Tucker was excited to go for a car ride, but did really well in the Endeavor. The sear protector thingie I found at Aldi worked great to protect my seat from those huge paws. Once we arrived at Bob's, I kept Tucker on the leash for a bit so that he knew that where "our spot" was in the event he wandered off.

Bob had two fires going to burn brush & I was little leery of Tucker trying to bounce into the fire. Why was this a concern? Burning brush piles look a lot like a great pile of sticks to Tucker. We stopped him a few times from dragging a branch off the pile - sometimes with the end on fire or smoldering.

Tucker, of course, was oblivious to the potential danger & was just really happy to keep scoring such great sticks.

Great sticks like the 20 feet sapling he trotted off with much to Bob's amazement.

Great sticks like the sapling's stump that he couldn't walk off with. Watching a determined Tucker try his best to run off with the sapling was priceless.

Tucker also had great fun playing in the mud puddles & splashing about - with a complete disregard for the cold ... or the mud he would end up tracking into my Endeavor.

Speaking of the mud, once it was time for us to head home, the ex took Tucker for a romp in a grassy field in an effort to get most of the mud off him. While this was a success, Tucker had his first run-in with barbed wire & the barbed wire won. Tuck ended up running into the wire a few times & ended up with two punctures on the top of head, a scrape by his eye and a long gouge on his ear (the same ear that just healed up from Corva's visit!).
