Oh my aching back
August 3rd, 2009 05:21 pmSince my general practitioner has wanted me to see someone specifically for my back issues since I started seeing her a while ago, I finally went to see someone today.
My visit to the Truong Rehabilitation Center was a pleasant one. It is owned by a lady doctor who treats the whole patient not just the hurt part. She seemed a but dismayed that none of my GPs until now have made me see a specialist. She sent me off for new back films since mine are 10 years old & is having me come back tomorrow for "trigger point injections".
Dr. Truong educated me about my specific back issue; one of the reasons for my back pain is that each vertebrae has two little bone hooks on it to help keep it attached to the next one. Seems that I was born missing one of the little hooks from my L5 vertebrae. None of the other doctors have ever mentioned this.
