I just don't get it...
October 8th, 2009 09:25 amFor an unemployed lady, I am so busy it is not funny.
Today's 'to do' list includes running to Fredericksburg so that I can get my new glasses adjusted AGAIN, grocery shopping, picking up dog food and probably a side trip to Michaels since I have a 40% off coupon.
New glasses? Yes, a few weeks ago I went to
dreamtigress 's eye doctor and ended up with a new prescription ... for progressive lenses no less. Mom and the Tigery one helped me picked out new frames and I picked out a way sexy pair of RayBans for prescription sunglasses.
Getting used to the progressive lenses was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be, but the frame adjustment has taken a while and I have some issues with computer work and reading while wearing them. We'll see what they say today.
Another vocation of mine lately has been moving around furniture. Lots of it - by the time I am done, I will have moved just about every piece of stuff in all three bedrooms. This of course has made the dogs a little nervous and has turned Tucker into the "Velcro Am Staff".
My second PC has died ... we're trying to determine if it is just the video card or something more. Seems silly but I really miss having two computers. hehe
Thanks to my Tigery sis, I will get to go to Faire for the last three Sundays. Since I have gotten so pudgy that I no longer fit in my own dress, she graciously loans me some nice duds (including a corset that I adore) and serves as my personal valet in the morning. It is so nice to have the day to wander about and enjoy all the sights and sounds of Faire. I also have fun hanging out in the booth and trying to help out when I can.
OK that is all the news that is fit to print on this Thursday edition of my LJ.
Off to town I go!
