Poked and blown

Since it is Thursday, I must have gone to Fredericksburg (which has been my MO since August). While my back has been feeling pretty fine, dragging that deer on Monday had me feeling a bit sore.

Dr. Truong says I undid some her work as well as knocked my back out of alignment. Oops. She did several triggerpoint injections in my lower back after finding some of the really painful spots in the exam. I could tell when she found the spots too - I about dropped to my knees in pain.

The upside is that I am not on any medication for my back and that is awesome. Hopefully the chiropractor can pop me back in place in two weeks.

Got home from the trip into town and rushed to get into my camo to go hunting. Got settled in the treestand and was all ready to enjoy a nice afternoon hunt. Then the wind started up. Rocking around in the middle of three trees when you are afraid of heights is a bit daunting. The wind would die down and I would be OK ... until it started up again. Finally I got the message and just returned to the ground where there was no swaying or creaking of wood under my arse.

While in the treestand though, I did have the pleasure of watching a Pileated Woodpecker. They are so neat to watch!
