Winter wonderland
February 7th, 2010 02:57 pmAfter being without power for about 30 hours, the electricity is back on. YAY!
The snow that started on Friday morning ended sometime during Saturday afternoon and dropped about 2 feet snow. I built a fire in the wood stove (all by myself!) and was able to heat my meals on on it as well. With the stove going, the house stayed warm enough; it was a little chilly this morning, but the temperature outside had dipped to at least 15 degrees.
Tucker - who normally likes running around in snow - was not all that thrilled about being chest deep in the cold stuff. Once he found Brian's tire tracks in the yard though he galloped in the track all the way around the house.
Today the sky is crystal clear and deep blue, making for a pretty sight. I shoveled a path to the heat pump and dug it out so that when the power came back it could run properly. I also noted that someone hit mailbox, but investigating further will just have to wait.
Treadmill = zero (Doctor's orders!)
