To quote my sis...
March 23rd, 2010 09:32 pmCode owie!
After reading through the instructions for both the deadbolts and the nifty installer kit I purchased as well as checking out some online advice, I was ready to start installing the new deadbolts.
Measured up the first door, placed the installer thingie on the door and started to make the hole with the drill saw. Just as it was getting started in the door, the saw blade caught and the drill ripped out of my hands. My big toe caught the drill, apparently saving my tile from cracking when the drill hit the floor. After hitting the tile, the drill bounced dangerously near my new curio cabinet.
Two teeth on the saw blade must have gotten caught - they are now broken off. Fortunately, Mom's (very heavy) metal-cased Milwaukee drill is non worse for wear. I can, however, feel my heart beating in my big toe.
So tomorrow will find me at Lowe's to exchange the crappy installation kit for a good hole saw.
Today has been a fairly gray and dreary day with colder temperatures than we have been having for the past bit. I spent most of morning as a sluggish lump, although I did spend quite a bit it online searching for a job.
Treadmill = zero (are you kidding?)
