Shopping score
April 23rd, 2010 07:03 pmMom and I met in Culpeper to do some shopping, have lunch and get my Endeavor squared away. After picking up two used Yokohama tires for my SUV, we dropped it off for an alignment which was sorely needed.
After a yummy lunch at the Chinese buffet, we headed over to Lowe's. The main objective was to purchase a tool that would help me get a piece of thread that broke off in the shower-head in the master bathroom. On the way to the plumbing section, we checked out some carts with clearance merchandise. As we were looking through the items a manager came up and said that he would make us some deals we could not refuse because he wanted to get rid of the stuff. He was not joking.
The loot?

The loot?
- Two rolls of really nice window film that normally sell for $30 per roll. My price? $2 per roll!
- The base kit for a closet organizer (which is pretty much all I would want). While the original price was $82, I paid $4 for it!
- Brushed nickel handles for my hall bath. Normal cost $4 each! My price $1 each!
- Burt Bees ResQ ointment (something I have wanted to try for a while) for a $1!
- A sexy Umbra stainless steel paper towel holder for $2
