I want Monday back!

Silly me bragged about yesterday going well and got a double dose of the "fuck-up fairy" today. Some of the things that I cannot make up are:

• A 2-way match job that MUST mail tomorrow going off match this evening.
• My right-hand guy's uncle passed away and he will be out on Friday for the funeral.
• One of the shop workers having a death in the family and she's out tomorrow for the funeral.
• A driver's niece falling off a swing at a church function, breaking her neck in the process - he'll be out on Friday as well. Oh, did I mention that this is the same driver who is undergoing "alcohol addiction" therapy 3 days a week?
• Having the shop slammed with work and having several projects be out of the norm of normal processing ranges.
• The HR lady asking me if I can spare some workers to make water balloons on Friday morning before our company picnic.
• Losing 4 hours of production on Friday since we close down to have the company picnic.
• Learning that the VP of Business Development (who has only been with the company for 5-6 months) got canned.

Believe it or not, my resume is ready to go and I am looking for a new job!
