Productive day

The weather was simply stunning here at the country home. At one point I even shed my sweatshirt and put on a T-shirt. After realizing that it was far too nice to putter about inside the house, out I went to get the following accomplished:

• Burned the last two boxes of stuff for daecabhir along with some leaves
• Mowed a good portion of the lawn (well, really it's leaf mulching at this point)
• Blew the driveway clear
• Did a bit of edging on the sidewalk
• Brought my office fridge down to the basement

Once the sun went down, I came in, fixed some dinner and headed to Culpeper to get a bit more grocery shopping done. It's nice having a fairly empty store to browse in although, for the love of horses, the parents who let their kid scream constantly while at the check out should be subjected to some sort of punishment.

Even though I am only cooking for eight folks on Thanksgiving and will have just four of us for the weekend, I tend to keep the house pretty stocked in case we should perish of starvation. It's silly, I know, but I like having stuff in the house that folks like and I get to spoil them a bit.

This holiday will be extra special since daecabhir will be here and, in all honestly, Wednesday night cannot get here too soon for my tastes. Not that I lie to you often.
