Another good day in the neighborhood

You know it's going to be a good day when your SO announces that he's making breakfast; and daecabhir is a winner in the kitchen.

Today found us on a schlep to F'burg for a few items. The best stop was hitting JoAnn's for some fabric and bits so that I can get all crafty again with the sewing machine. My esteemed other half deserves a gold star (or at least a _lot_ smooches) for being VERY patient with me as I shopped. We also learned that the stuffed pretzels at Wawa are not bad - especially when you are hungry.

Dinner tonight was veggie chowder that I made in the crock pot. A recipe in a magazine from mom served as the guide; I made it vegetarian friendly, etc. The result was a hearty soup that I hope freezes well since the crock pot was FULL.

It's going to be another cold night here but fortunately daecabhir already has a fire going in the wood stove so we will stay toasty warm. Well, I also sleep with a panda bear. ;)
