Two peas, one pod (finally)
May 24th, 2011 10:46 pmSaturday, May 21 - Daecabhir and I did indeed make the drive down to VA with the moving truck and the Prius (the Endeavor is safely parked at Dreamtigress' until next week). With a brief stop for bathroom and snacks* - we made it in around midnight. With a clear night's sky that was full of stars and The Rogues playing (Steam Train) we arrived at OUR home. YAY!
*Daecabhir will not be allowing me to have a huge rice krispie treat and a bottle of Starbuck's frappechino that late at night ever again.
Sunday, May 22 - With the help of (obviously good) friends, the truck was unloaded in good time. It was great to meet some near and dear friends of Daecabhir's and he got to meet two super ladies that I worked with at CFC. Thanks to all!
Yesterday and today have been filled with unpacking and more unpacking. We've made lots of boxes empty with lots more to go. Even with the slight madness, we've managed a shopping trip or two done and gotten to see Thor in the theater. We also got to have a little puppy time while doing a vehicle swap with Mom. The dogs will be staying with Mom for another week and then they get to come home for a good while (I hope).
