Not sure why exactly it took so long but the rats have found a new home. A wonderful new home, in fact, so apparently the universe was just waiting until now.
daecabhir and I met the folks who adopted the boys at Lake of the Woods. The family has had rats before so they know the drill. The little boy that came along for the ride was so excited about the new pets. he was also very gentle with the rats and extremely polite. I'm really jazzed that the two little furries are going to such a nice family.
There was more unpacking today ... I am so proud of
daecabhir! I'm not sure how many more boxes were emptied but we have more room in the office, living room kitchen and basement this evening as a result.
Tonight's dinner was a unexpected bit of yummyness - I made a beef-less stroganoff. The "beef" strips were better than expected but a bit chewy; the rest of the dish rocked though. Thanks to my honey for suggesting we use rainbow mini farfelle pasta (since we were out of egg noodles).
