Ketchup, mustard and other condiments

The first time I sat down to write a fairly decent recount of the past week or so, the LJ site was down again. Since you are seeing my typed blather, the site is up for the time being.

The One Home Birthday Bash was absolutely wonderful despite some folks begging off due to the heat. Getting to see our friends and family always makes for a truly enjoyable day. daecabhir did a bang up on the grills (he worked two of them) and as usual had no qualms about cooking meat for folks. We had more than enough food for everyone (including two different kinds of chocolate chip cookies. There were also two different cakes - a birthday cake for daecabhir and an ice cream cake to celebrate "two hearts ~ one home". Of course, the ice cream cake was a big hit considering the temperature outside!

Art and Kathleen had made the trip from NJ and stayed for the weekend. dreamtigress , insegnante , Landon, the goth mountain man and Maddie (his dog) all stayed overnight to boot. Once things settled down, Art, Kathleen, daecabhir and I went to see Captain America.

We are really thankful for both our friends and family who made this day so very special.
