A rainy hump day version of what's happening

daecabhir and I were up very early since he is in NoVA for the day. He had originally planned to spend last night with friends in the area, but came home early from work yesterday since he was feeling a bit puny. While I am sorry he's not 100%, I must admit to having enjoyed us snuggling on the couch for a movie.

Ironically, we watched Over the Hedge for the first time and finally got to see what renniecub was talking about on the night that daecabhir and I met - Hammy the squirrel and shiny! And yes, we giggled like the adorkable dorks that we are.

Okay, so what's been going on lately?

The ruana - Came out pretty well, although the trim does not lay as flat as I would I would liked. The felt bias tape that I created would not go through the bias tape tool so I had to do it all by hand. Of course, with nice weather over the weekend, I hardly wore it!

The past weekend of MDRF - Amazing weather brought big crowds and good sales for dreamtigress. I had a blast helping some very fun patrons with their mask purchases. daecabhir, dreamtigress and amywon all made me feel very special with roses. daecabhir and took in a show together (my first of the season!) at the White Hart ~ North Sea Gas was the band. They played MDRF for one day only and were awesome. Sadly though the sound system at the White Hart was horrible.

Sewing - Besides creating the ruana, I sewed about two dozen or so fan pouches. I've been having a lot of fun making stuff and the serger makes seams _so_ easy!

Job stuff - No word at all from the folks at My Plumber. My guess is that they either delayed their decision for some reason or (more likely) have chosen another candidate and the HR guy is perhaps embarrassed to let me know. Or just totally slacking from doing his job. The Town of Culpeper (or really just the new Tourism Director) surprised me when I got a flush letter after not even being brought in for an interview. oh well. Perhaps this is all happening for a reason.

Speaking of that reason, tonight is the first pottery class and, yes, I am jazzed!
