Update-y post

Turkey day preparations are under way here at the country home. daecabhir and I spent yesterday cleaning, blowing leaves, dusting, you name it. The Prius' interior is nice and clean so we can ride folks around. Even the dogs got a bath. I'm a bit slowed down by the foot injury, well, maybe more than a bit, but we still got a lot done.

The weekends are fun for many reasons ... sleeping in, lots of morning cuddles, daecabhir cooking (multi-grain pancakes for Saturday's breakfast, tofu korma tonight) but mostly it's because we're together.

My partner rocks. Just saying.

Tonight I am cautiously optimistic ... for quite some time now I have been looking for a deal on a pottery wheel - either a sale on a new one, or someone selling a used one. Having had no luck, I had resigned to buying a new one at full price. This evening I checked Craigslist after looking at a link that Mom had sent for fish (thanks Mom) and there it was ... a hardly-used Brent CXC pottery wheel. This wheel is about four times powerful than the one I was looking at buying and for the same price. After speaking with its current owner, I'll be driving out to take a look at it tomorrow. Fingers are crossed!

This will be a really busy week but I am really looking forward to having friends and family here for the holiday.
